HGTV Designers' Challenge #715, Part 1 of 2
Bonnie and her two teenage kids moved to a spacious Cape Cod-style home in Calabasas. Though Bonnie loves the house and the amount of space it offers, there are several rooms that she would like to tackle to make the inside as attractive as the outside. Since she has teenagers, the first space she'd like to have done is the bonus room since that's a common gathering spot, perfect for the kids to hang out and perfect for when Bonnie needs to work from home. Since this is a very visible room in the house, however, Bonnie would also like it to be classy. She has enlisted the help of Designers Challenge to create a multifunctional room that the whole family will find inviting and entertaining. |

HGTV Designers' Challenge #715, Part 2 of 2
After careful consideration, Bonnie has decided to go with Yvonne Beers whose design best utilizes the space and captures the essence of what she envisions for the room. Yvonne adds a custom built-in unit to serve as a workspace and a game table for the kids. The room is completed with new lighting and area rugs that provide warmth and color to enhance the new wood flooring. This once undefined central space is now a functional yet casually elegant multipurpose room that the whole family can enjoy. |
